Notes:

  • Students who have the skills and inclination are encouraged to make a 4-6 year commitment to performing arts as one of their electives.
  • The “honors option” gives students the opportunity to earn honors credit in a regular college prep course by fulfilling additional requirements and meeting performance standards above and beyond the classroom.
  • Students must take the AP exam and earn a minimum score of 2 in order to get AP credit on their transcript. A score of 3 or higher will typically be awarded college credit. 17% of our graduates were recently recognized by the College Board as either AP Scholars or Distinguished AP Scholars, an award reserved for exceptional performance in multiple AP courses. Doane Academy offers 9 AP courses in a two year cycle.
  • SAT/ACT prep is an integral part of the college counseling program. 11th and 12th grade students and their parents have the benefit of our highly successful college counselor during the day and outside of the regular school day. Seniors have SAT/ACT prep 7th period 3 days/week first semester. Juniors have 3 days/week second semester.
