Field trips
Lower School students participate in a variety of field trips during the school year. Some are planned by the specialists in the areas of the arts, such as concerts at the Kimmel Center or programs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Others are planned to enhance classroom lessons and often include “hands-on” opportunities where students are able to experience first-hand what they have learned about through their studies in the classroom. Our older students may participate in outdoor experiences where they are challenged to go “beyond their comfort zone” as they visit destinations such as Camp Ockanickon, Crystal Cave, Franklin Mines, or go on an ocean adventure to study marine life.
