Private Music Instruction Program for Lower and Upper School

Band Instruction
Private lesson of percussion, wind, and brass instruments are available free of charge to Doane Academy students in grades 4-12. Students are able to participate at any level of experience, but must own or rent their instrument. Each lesson is a half hour session a week and is offered during and after school, and throughout the summer.

String Instruction
Private lesson of violin, viola, cello, bass, and mandolin are available to students in grades prek-12. Students are able to participate at any level of experience. Mr. Wenger teaches in the Suzuki method with traditional Western teaching methods. There is a fee of $22.00 for a half hour lesson per week. Students must own or rent their instrument. Lessons are scheduled during school hours as a convenience to you and your child.

Piano Instruction
Private piano lessons are available to students in grades prek-12 at any level of experience. There is a fee of $300 a semester for approximately 20 half-hour weekly lessons. Students are responsible for purchasing their books. Lessons are scheduled before, during, after school hours.
