Directions and Maps

Doane Academy is located in Burlington, New Jersey, just 17 miles northeast of Center City Philadelphia, on the banks of the beautiful Delaware River.

The City of Burlington
Once a busy industrial town in the 17th and 18th centuries, Burlington is now a quintessential Small Town, USA, with federal architecture dating back to 1696 and litany of tie-ins to American history, including a mention by Ben Franklin in his memoirs, an address shared by Benedict Arnold's sweetheart, and a prominent position along the Underground Railroad.

Renowned for its 18th-century architecture and colonial heritage, Burlington is a small city with antique shops, good restaurants, historic houses, museums, and libraries. Burlington is on the new light-rail line from Camden to Trenton, which makes traveling to and from Burlington especially convenient.

Our campus
Founded in 1837, the school's campus - in its original location - is classically beautiful. The campus of ten acres is built along the riverside and is full of elegant architecture, ancient shade trees, and leafy paths. In addition to our venerable buildings (on the National Register of Historic Places) there are modern classroom and lab facilities.
