DOANE WELCOMES TWO NEW FACULTY MEMBERS
Welcome Mr. Michael Polhemus and Dr. Shelley Zuckerman

We have recently added two new faculty members to the Doane Academy Family.  First, as a replacement for our Lower School music teacher and Upper School Choir teacher, Ms. Keaton, we welcomed Dr. Shelley Zuckerman sometime in the middle of January.  She brings a wide range of experience with her in both music instruction (vocal and piano) and in formal religious study.  She is also an accomplished organist.

We also welcome Mr. Michael Polhemus, who joined the faculty the last week of February.  He replaces Mr. Dougherty who taught math and life science.  As a graduate of the Peddie School, Mr. Polhemus is very familiar with independent schools.  He is a recent graduate of Wesleyan University where he studied both mathematics and economics and played lacrosse.  In addition to teaching math and science at Doane, he is the assistant coach of boys' lacrosse at Neshaminy High School.

We are pleased to add two highly motivated and talented individuals to our faculty. Doane Academy continues to build upon its reputation as a top flight college prep school. Attracting and returning faculty members who are gifted in their subject area and passionate about teaching has been the key to our success.
